Project Scope
MCA was engaged by Oz Minerals (BHP) for a Grizzly Installation.
These works included:
- Reorientated Structure – allowed the main support beams to be supported from left to right
- To avoid the excavator falling into the finger/ore in the case of ground collapse
- 4 x engineered anchor plates were Gewi Bolt to the wall and pull tested.
- 4 fixed points, to chain the excavator back using 8-tonne chain
- Reformed section of wall
- Reorientated structure with basket/work platform in use
- Installation of grizzly biscuit box beam
- Finished concrete to front and grizzly cover to mitigate open hole
- Installation of approach apron and concrete
