Project Scope
MCA was engaged by Northparkes Mine (NPM) for the SMP/ Civil Construction of their Lift 1 North Expansion.
This contract had MCA supplying the labour and equipment under a self-managed model with NPM. MCA provided a comprehensive team encompassing all levels, from project management to technical advisors (T/A’s).
Construction Activities
The project involved construction of:
- Conveyor handling system, including ground modules, GTU towers, hanging modules and mechanical fit out.
- Suspended slab steelwork installation
- Feeder station steelwork, chute installation, screen installation
- Fireline installation
- Rock bolting for hanging modules / laterial ties
- Overhead crane installation
- Civil works, conveyor tailend concrete works, construction of concrete sumps, suspended slab bond deck installation, concrete pours of SCA’s
